When Leaf Bows to Rain.

My darlings, I read the most beautiful passage this morning.

From Pat Weiss, founder of the Still Water “Friend’s House” Retirement Community Mindfulness Group.

“The leaves bow when touched by a drop of rain,

showing their appreciation for the nourishing,

welcome gifts of water.

We put our hands together like a lotus bud and bow,

expressing our joy, respect and gratitude for

all that is.”

Though the words are rather simple, the imagery is quite profound. That a leaf might bow in gratitude to a single drop of rain, so too – must we express our gratitude for ‘all that is.’

Gratitude has such a warmth about it. Feel it for just a moment, and our whole world may be instantly transformed.

Gratitude is our invitation to surrender before this miraculous scope of Divine intervention.

It is right here, within the heart of our appreciation – that we find a hope that is so graciously everlasting.

Namaste, my beautiful hearts. And, on this day – I wish you peace.

Oh, yes…and, perhaps a little something extra for my chickadees.
