Our Greatest Service.

imageMy darlings, were you aware that the Chinese character for ‘listen’ is comprised of four wonderfully unique, and beautiful insightful, elements?

Defined as ‘radicals’, they are intended to provide the fuller context of the word’s meaning – and, to offer a ‘story’ behind this meaning.

In this case, the word ‘listen’ (pronounced, ‘ting’) encourages us to engage all of our senses – our eyes, our ears, and most importantly, our hearts – when offering the gift of our attention.

And, it certainly reveals something very significant about this skill.

That is to say, that’s it’s only through engagement of all of our senses that we are finally afforded the gift of connection.

And, I think this world might be greatly helped if only we might incorporate this lesson.

To listen, my loves, is an act of service. And connection, our greatest glory.

Namaste…
