What Matters Most of All.

I’m so very proud of my daughter today who, upon seeing a family with little ones in distress, went immediately to offer the gift of her attention.

The father was holding a hand drawn sign, “Please help. Just food. God bless.”

It took just a moment for her to realize the ‘path’, as she headed straight to the cash point to withdraw what was available. But, more importantly – she took the time to say to another, “I’m here for you, darling – how can I help.”

So often we are too swept away in our own circumstances to consider the need of others. Even with casual conversations, there seems to be more of emphasis of the “me” versus the “we”. And we struggle to understand the source of our disconnect, and why this world seems so badly to need our help.

But, it’s moments like these – you see; where we may so graciously effect a ripple of kindness that just might help someone in need.

And, it’s one of the very best feelings in this world – to know by simply extending a hand or sharing your attention, you’re helping to make another’s life brighter.

Tonight, a family will have enough to buy food. And tonight, a young father can rest with just a little more hope in his heart.

The world isn’t such a bad place, after all – it’s what *we* make of this experience that matters even more.

Namaste, my loves ~ and, if I’ve not said it nearly enough, “My darlings I am always here for you.”
