Becoming a True Witness.

I believe it was Osho who once said, that the moment we judge is the moment we lose ‘pure witness.’

That is to say, we lose the capacity to be fully present in our quest to attach the sanctity of labels.

We confuse our certainty with ‘solid ground’, but my darlings – we couldn’t be further from the truth.

Though labeling may seem a means to escape – “this is good” or “this is bad.” Remember, the moment we begin to affix our judgement is the moment we become helplessly limited.

When I was first diagnosed with Parkinson’s I remember immediately trying to qualify my condition. I wanted so badly to understand future, I was unable to appreciate the lesson of being present.

I wanted so desperately to define the path, before it had been revealed. And in doing so I nearly missed the blessing in the details.

This is what it means to become a true witness, to watch this Universe as it was intended to be revealed.

“And this process of watching is the very alchemy of real religion,” he shares. “Because as you become more and more deeply rooted in witnessing, thoughts start disappearing. You are, but the mind is utterly empty.”

This is the point of our greatest revelation, my darlings – and this is what it means to be enlightened.

To watch with wondrous eyes what magic may be revealed.

A little something to consider today, my darlings ~ namaste.
