The Perfection of Nothingness.

I took my time sipping coffee this morning.

The mug warmed the chill straight from my hands, leaving softness to fill my humbled heart.

Such a glorious feeling, and yet? We’re so hesitant to offer space; fearful our minds might be swayed away into a life of ‘indigence and unrest.’ As if taking this moment to allow the breath to heal would have a far-reaching and impoverishing impact.

Oh, but who are we fooling, my friends? For, isn’t it the time so presumably ‘wasted’ that lends meaning to our world in the end?

Though, instead of enjoying this ‘perfection of nothingness’, we scramble to justify reason.

Author, Kurt Vonnegut once shared a story of the creation of humanity.

As God fashioned living creatures from mud; one them, “Man”, asked, “What is the purpose of all of this?”

“Everything must have a purpose?” asked God.

“Yes, certainly, it must,” said man.

“Then I leave it to you to think of one,” said God.

And then He went away.

We assume our purpose is for others to decide. But, that couldn’t be further from the truth.

For we are the crafters and masters of destiny. And, these moments – all and everything that we choose.

Just a little soul-filling nudge to begin your day, my darlings ~

Namaste ❤️
