I woke up with a profound sense of gratitude this morning; everything I sensed, saw, felt and experiences wrapped in a blanket of joy.
“I’m grateful for this day,” I mumbled, wiping the sleep from my eyes. “For this house, to shelter; this food, to sustain; and – these friends to keep my spirit strong.”
“Which two people are the hardest to find in this world?” asked the Buddha. “The one who is first to do a kindness, and the one who is grateful and thankful for a kindness done.”
I like to live my life in just this way; grateful, always, for the kindness bestowed and eager to impart to another. As if a continuous meditation: breathing in, I am grateful; breathing out, I share.
In this way, gratitude and kindness are inseparable.
And, when the two become so intrinsically intertwined – even the mundane becomes a miracle.
On this day, I wish you a view from my morning walk. To some, a tattered leaf ~ while, to others, endless joy.
Now tell me, which do you choose to see, my loves?
Again and again, I choose love. I don’t tell you enough, dear Tara, how diligently I read your posts and how lovely I continue to find them – blessings.
Thank you Matt… Your kindness is my blessing. Namaste
