Are We Not the Same?

How is it that we consider ourselves to be so ‘separate’ from Nature?

Our thoughts move as swiftly as the heron’s grace; and, with outstretched wings, we are freed.

Do we not stand alongside the great oak, bearing witness to this passage of time, as experiences forges new rings?

Are we not equally able to weather the storms, to manifest resilience amongst the highest of limbs?

Are we not as persistent as the water’s flow? As pliable as the meadow’s new growth?

Oh, but how easily we assume – that we are not the same as that which defines the bloom. As Einstein would call it, “an optical delusion” of consciousness and soul.

And, this world offers itself humbly to the willingness of our perception.

We are not separate, my loves. We are all as one, and we are much the same.

A little something to consider on this day ~
