To Be Willing to Receive.

I heard a whimpering at my door this morning. Softly, at first – as if not to wake – then onto a more urgent scratching.

At such an early hour, one might easily have been annoyed. He had already been walked, his bedding fluffed and water dish filled. All squeaky toys were tucked lovingly between the couch cushions – in spite of my pleadings to please put them away.

No, on this day – something was different;?as if purpose, herself, had carried him here.

I grabbed my coat, expecting another brisk walk outside. Though, when I opened the door he leapt straight into my arms – exactly, where he remained for the next several hours.

It was the most curious of things, and – certainly left me wondering.

Hours later, as I reached for my coffee – it hit me. I remembered praying,

“Dear Universe, please continue to surround me with love.”

Isn’t it amazing how our prayers are received? And responded to in ways that might otherwise have been missed?

A little something to consider, my friends ~ it’s not enough to simply ask, with all of our heart we must be willing to ‘receive.’

Namaste my loves ❤️
