The Peace We Choose.

Author Mark Nepo refers to it as the ‘unshakeable ground’–that moment in our lives which represents the core truth of our being.

It is our foundation, our soul. It is the space in which our deepest resilience is formed. And, generally occurring in those delicate instances where we feel there’s no place left to go.

Rumi referred to it as that one thing in this world that must never be forgotten; that one task, which if never performed will have meant we’ve left this earth having done nothing.

So often we feel our ‘task’ is to complete the journey; to become compassionately self-aware. Though, that’s just the smaller piece of it – don’t you think? Perhaps, that “one thing which must never be forgotten” is a connection to our sacred peace?

My darlings, in our very worst of times, it is our spiritual practice which offers a gracious opportunity. That is, to hold fast to an unwavering faith.

Even when life throws a couple of ‘goose eggs’ our way.

It also implies that we must hold true to practice in those moments when fear threatens to steal away our peace. And, trust that it is a *real* choice we must make, whether to tumble forward into tired old habits or reclaim that which is our birthright.

To relinquish fear, and embrace a lasting sort of peace.

And though we might feel a bit shaky, at first – the longer term path shows a faith that is unwavering.

A little something to consider on this day, my loves ~ the peace we live, is the peace we choose.

Namaste ❤️
