A little one came to my door today, with mop bucket in hand and a grin upon his face,
“Ms. Tara, is there anything I can help you with?” he smiled, rocking back upon his heels. “Cause help is what I got and help is what you need.”
It was something I had shared with him just a few days before, as he struggled to find ‘the perfect gift’ for his dearest Mom.
“If you pay attention,” I offered “if you watch closely, people will always show you what they need. And, often what they ‘need’ can’t be bought – rather, it is something to be shared.”
As he scrunched his face and scrambled off, I thought – surely, the lesson had been lost. But, then – I remembered just yesterday dropping a parcel of cleaning products to the ground.
I tend to drop a lot of things these days – coffee mugs, parcels, packets of mail. And, always with the greatest of flourish and show.
Suddenly, it all made sense – his presence here, his silly grin, the mop bucket in his hands.
“Cause help is what I got and help is what you need.”
I love it when these lessons finally make their way ‘home’.
Namaste, my darlings ~ may this day be filled with the gift of awareness.
The illumination, this luminescence of spirit you offer us, is polished and sparkling on this one. 🙂 May many beings discover the path of compassion you’ve illustrated in such a lovely way, dear heart. <3
