Searching for Joy.

My darlings, this morning I am inspired by a passage from poet, Gregory Orr:

“To be alive: not just the carcass
But the spark.
That’s crudely put, but …

If we’re not supposed to dance,
Why all this music?”

I smiled as I reflected upon his words. To be the spark, yes – but also, to dance. To dance when there is no cause, nor occasion; to dance when we feel there is no ‘music.’

To dance, even as the heart is breaking.

There is joy all around us, my loves. As spring approaches, we are reminded of the earth’s continuous renewal. We see it manifested through the most delicate of new growth. Like the tiniest buds emerging from tree, we can’t help but to reflect on the miraculous nature of our own spiritual being.

Yes, we must experience challenge to reinforce our resilience. Likewise, we must remain open to the experience to nourish our joy.

My darlings, our purpose in this life is to feel and express our joy; to radiate loving kindness – to contemplate our own majesty within the context of this miracle of life.

Someone once said that we learn love through the experience of being loved. I think the same is true with respect to this experience of joy.

That is to say, our capacity to express joy is directly related to our willingness to experience joy.

Just a little something to consider on this day, my loves ~

Namaste ❤️
