Accepting the Risk.

I was reading a message this morning from a faraway friend. In her village alone, over 100 beautiful human souls were lost – a tragedy of insurmountable proportion.

In contrast, a coworker was loudly complaining over the ‘subtlety in tone’ within an email received.

Priorities are everything, my loves. And, how we choose to engage this world ~ in time, becomes our legacy.

Each day, I am blessed to receive hundreds of messages; each voice, compelling in its own way. My eyes have been opened to the complexities of this world in a profound and deeply personal way. In a sense, my awakening has been a shared experience – and for this, I am ever-grateful.

Though, it brings to light these very real, human experiences. Today, I feel even more compelled to act.

“Your heart belongs to greater things” – these were the last words shared to me by a friend who recently passed. He saw my angst, my unsettledness – my unrest. And, within that – he recognized my need to be of service.

““There is a world inside each of us, that we know better than anything else,” writes Kim Addonizio and Dorianne Laux, “and a world outside of us that calls for our attention. . .Our subject matter is always right here, at the tips of our fingers, at the edge of each passing thought.”

Perhaps today is that first bold step in realizing a dream I’ve held since childhood?

You see, at some point, in spite of our fears – we have to engage this life without hesitation; we have to accept that one exquisite risk.

My darlings, though I may not know this path ahead – I do know, my heart belongs in service to others.

Sometimes not knowing prevents us from moving forward. And other times, it can serve as a catalyst. Though, within each we must find our heart. We must listen to the greater calling of this world. Today, I invite you to join me on this journey.

In peace, my beautiful friends…

Namaste ❤️
