Upon These Papered Wings.

I watched a butterfly bask in the sunlight today; his heart oblivious to the troubles of ‘world’, and the flurried pace of ‘what might happen next.’

Instead, he simply stretched his wings – extending willingness to glory; and holding a space for hope and compassion.

He knows not the complexities of ‘moment’; rather simply the hint of wind upon wing.

As I sit, I can not help but to envy the ease by which he allows safe passage – for that which guides the heart’s encouragement.

Oh, little one – indeed.

“You dance inside my chest where no-one sees you, but sometimes I do, and that sight becomes this art.” (Rumi)

Oh, thank goodness for the grace imparted through this little one’s wings.

In peace…
