I watched a little one playing ‘bubbles’ today; her eyes darting with magical wonderment at the iridescent orbs suspended against the sky.

“Daddy look,” she cried. “Bubbles for the angels!!” As if all of the glory and mysteries of “universe” were somehow locked within that one precious moment.

Can you imagine a life of such simplicity, my loves? One that engages our senses so completely, invigorating the very basis of soul.

I’ve often thought – how lucky we are to have started our lives in just this way; without expectation or the worry of condition – born into a state of sublime appreciation, dedicated to the prospect of living freely.

Though as we age we lose our willingness to reflect; to “watch with glittering eyes”, as they say. To engage the boundlessness of our childlike spirit.

Life doesn’t have to be quite so serious, my loves. Particularly, when we let a little magic into it.
