An Act of Service.

“The ultimate act of service,” shares Zen Master Ram Dass “is to acknowledge and honor the integrity of another being as they are.”

Though, so often we try to dissuade our view; to manipulate these qualities through the aperture of perception. Convinced, perhaps, that experience yields something far greater to behold.

In doing so, we overlook the attributes so often missed; the greater heart and the world just as it is. The dew upon this morning leaf, the shifting shade of evergreen – overlooked in the haste to complete this ‘story’ before it begins.

And yet, as the poet William Blake once observed;

“If the doors of perception were cleansed every thing would appear to man as it is, Infinite.”

My darlings, today I wish for you this blessing of infinite – to see as such absent the shadows of perception.

In peace…
